FOUNDED IN LOS ANGELES BY MARYANN CHAVEZ & MONIKA FELICE SMITH

 

LAUNCHED AMIDST THE 2020 PANDEMIC, SEEKING REFUGE FROM A MALTREATING COMPANY, OUR PURSUIT WAS TO DESIGN A CREATIVE SANCTUARY FOR OUR DANCERS TO CONTINUE SAFELY EXPLORING ONE'S KNOWLEDGE WITHIN THEIR CRAFT AMONGST OUR (THEN) ONLINE COMMUNITY.

OVER TWO YEARS LATER, WE ARE PROUD TO SAY, WE HAVE SUCCESSFULLY TRANSITIONED TO HOSTING BOTH IN-PERSON & REMOTE ONLINE CLASSES WEEKLY; ALL WHILST KEEPING OUR PROMISE TO MAINTAIN AN INCLUSIVE AND SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.

We present to you LUME, a non-competitive, professional dance training program & Collective with a focus on healthy industry experience & preparation for the dancer.

LUME is designed to gently challenge creative boundaries while steadily strengthening the dancer's body, mind and spirit.

PROGRAMS

LUME DANCE COLLECTIVE a select group of professional movers hand picked to represent our training program monthly. 

​

LUME "LIGHT" TRAINING PROGRAM provides a place for all; Weekly training that focus' on technical conditioning in ballet, jazz, contemporary, commercial hip hop & heels foundation (18+), from working dancers and industry choreographers.

​

LUME "IGNITE" INNOVATIVE PROGRAM dives into the behind the scenes of being a choreographer, director, creative director, educator, assistant and all around artist.
